Job summary

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of engineering experience, 5+ years in process design, and a strong understanding of cGMP. AutoCAD proficiency for P&IDs is preferred and travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in process design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of cGMP and how it affects process design and equipment specification.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual design deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams and Material and Energy Balances.
• Estimate utility requirements for new manufacturing processes and design utilities distribution.
• Generate P&IDs (preferably on AutoCAD) including controls strategy and CIP/SIP functions.
• Perform studies to expand, improve, or automate facilities with limited supervision.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation.
• Contribute to development of design tools, including process simulation and smart P&IDs.
• Own process-related aspects of projects and provide technical support to the design team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with IPS design team.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
