Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a Design Project Engineer to provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary design projects in life sciences. The role will support project planning, execution, and coordination across engineering disciplines at IPS HQ or the Cary, NC office.

You will ensure compliance with specifications and standards throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in technical project roles within AEC or life sciences, a BS in Engineering, and

Qualifications

Min. 7 years of progressive engineering experience in technical project roles.
Experience in the AEC, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences industries is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College in Engineering, or a related field.
Expertise in engineering design programs and BIM tools e.g., Navisworks.
General knowledge of system design and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews.
Ensure design compliance with safety, quality, client design guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Support development of the project equipment list and input across disciplines.
Lead and facilitate regular design coordination and review meetings.
Coordinate efforts across architects, engineers, BIM teams, vendors, and contractors.
