Job summary

IPS is seeking a Design Project Director for our Burlington, Massachusetts office. You will provide senior leadership on complex life science facilities programs and projects, guiding design teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

You will mentor project managers and engineers, manage contracts and risk, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality design solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in design project leadership for life sciences facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience; licensed and stamped drawings where applicable.
• Strong ability to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs programs and multiple projects; leads teams to meet goals.
• Manages resources, scheduling, budgeting, and execution plans.
• Oversees contracts, scope, cost, schedule, change management and risk.
• Mentors project managers and engineers to build leadership and technical capabilities.
• Maintains client relationships and coordinates with stakeholders.
