Job summary

KFI Engineers in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Process Engineer III to lead technical discussions, perform complex calculations, and deliver high-quality process solutions for industrial and agribusiness projects.

You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery. The role requires a Bachelors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of experience, with proficiency in process modeling, mass/energy balances, equipment sizing, and CHEMCAD;

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of process engineering experience in relevant industries.
• US work authorization now and in the future.
• Experience with process modeling, mass/energy balances, and equipment sizing.
• Proficiency with ChemCAD and hydraulic analysis tools (AFT Fathom/Arrow).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and oversees engineering documents, equipment specifications and deliverables.
• Performs complex calculations including mass/energy balances and sizing.
• Develops PFDs, P&IDs and control schematics; integrates vendor processes.
• Conducts field investigations to verify conditions and improvements.
• Coordinates with other disciplines and project teams.
• Mentors junior engineers and supports project estimating and scheduling.
• Provides site support during construction and commissioning.
