Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of engineers and process designers, delivering process engineering work on time and within budget. The role requires extensive experience in chemical/biochemical/petroleum process design, and involves project controls, estimates, and client collaboration.

You will establish design criteria, ensure permitting where needed, and mentor less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture in process design.
• Review and approve process engineering deliverables.
• Produce and manage professional service estimates.
• Lead design criteria and ensure code compliance.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Produce detailed process designs and calculations.
• Lead a small team on major capital projects.
• Present services to clients and participate in pre-bid meetings.
