Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Process Engineer at our Saraland, AL site to lead cross-functional teams in applying lean methods for process improvement and safe design. The role involves developing Basis of Design documents, evaluating equipment data, and interfacing with the Capital Projects group to drive project deliverables.

Qualified candidates have a BS/MS in Chemical/Mechanical/Biochemical or Petroleum Engineering, PE/CPIP preferred, and 3+ years of industrial process design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration or CPIP certification preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end development of process design data and Basis of Design (BOD).
• Collaborate with Project Cost Estimator and Project Manager to develop initial cost estimates.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs; review vendor data sheets and equipment specs.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
