Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Houston seeks a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of process engineers and designers, delivering the process design deliverables on time, within budget, and to quality expectations for major capital projects.

You will establish design criteria, develop cost estimates, manage schedules, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure inter-disciplinary alignment and fit-for-purpose solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical or Petroleum Engineering.
• Professional Engineering registration or CPIP preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical/petroleum/biochemical process design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver process design deliverables on time and within budget.
• Review and approve process engineering deliverables and develop design criteria.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines for inter-disciplinary alignment.
• Develop project estimates, schedules and man-hour budgets for major capital projects.
• Support safety culture and ensure design complies with codes and standards.
