Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Pasadena, TX, seeks a Lead Engineer to supervise a team of engineers and process designers and to deliver process engineering on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

You will establish design criteria, review deliverables, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multiple disciplines on large capital projects. A BS/MS in engineering and PE or CPIP preferred, with good communication and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• Ability to train others in process safety and site safety requirements.
• Knowledge of CAD drafting standards and process engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture in process design.
• Review and approve process engineering deliverables.
• Produce professional service estimates and track project changes.
• Develop design criteria and cost studies for major projects.
• Lead a small team on major capital projects and communicate plans to team and client.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and participate in interviews.
