Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks a dynamic leader to manage a diverse team of engineers and technicians in a fast-paced cable manufacturing environment. You will drive product quality, safety, and cost reduction while deploying new technologies through DMAIC and related methods.

You will mentor staff, optimize capacity, and collaborate with R&D to align manufacturing with strategic goals. A strong engineering background and proven leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of functional leadership and project management in manufacturing.
• 4+ years in a manufacturing environment leading cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of experience using data and statistical analysis tools (Power-BI).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of cable manufacturing operations to maximize performance and minimize costs.
• Participate in setting department objectives and resource allocation.
• Develop team capabilities and apply learnings into manufacturing and engineering systems.
• Engage with R&D to align on technology inventory and protect IP.
• Ensure processes are used rigorously across Innovation, Process Excellence, PM, Safety, etc.
