Job summary

River Valley Regional YMCA seeks a Preschool Lead Child Care Teacher to guide a developmentally appropriate daily program for young children. You will supervise the Assistant Teacher, collaborate with staff, and maintain a nurturing, safe classroom environment that supports each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

You will establish strong partnerships with families, plan activities, and ensure health and safety standards are followed, contributing to high-quality early

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree or higher in an approved child development field.
• Requires CDA or an Associate's degree with two years related experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 30 days of hire and compliance with background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction and provide developmentally appropriate activities.
• Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Teacher to ensure safety and program quality.
• Maintain open communication with parents and program staff.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the classroom.
• Assist with program planning and participation in staff meetings.
