Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN is seeking a #2 Operator in Prepress for the 3rd shift to lead a crew, train teammates, and optimize performance. You will review job specs, set up tasks, monitor runs for quality, and handle moderate troubleshooting. Strong communication and Lean experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good communication across shifts and departments.
• Proven success as a trainer.
• Competence with rulers and measurement; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements.
• Perform or delegate set-up tasks.
• Monitor equipment and product through the run to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot related to product or equipment.
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-off.
• Evaluate equipment mechanical condition and coordinate preventive maintenance.
