Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead mid/high complexity Power Tool New Product Development projects. You will provide cross-functional technical guidance, establish test regimens, and deliver data-driven design recommendations.

Applicants should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, strong 3D CAD skills, deep materials knowledge, and the ability to analyze systems and perform root cause analyses. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of machine design experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and materials knowledge.
• Ability to apply first principles and perform stress analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
• Experience with tolerance stack analysis and system-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical resource on mid/high complexity Power Tool NPD projects.
• Provide clear technical information to cross functional teams and leaders.
• Establish test regimens and deliver data-driven design recommendations.
• Mentor engineering teammates and perform rigorous engineering analysis.
• Develop models, perform stress analysis, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Collaborate to inform early-stage development and manage costs/schedule.
