Milwaukee Tool is seeking a highly capable Mechanical Engineer to lead mid/high complexity Power Tool New Product Development projects in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, establish robust test regimens, and deliver data-driven design decisions through strong analytical rigor.

The role emphasizes system-level thinking, mentorship, and applying first principles to drive reliable, high‑performance tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of machine design experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling and mechanical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical resource on mid/high complexity Power Tool NPD projects.
• Provide clear technical information to cross functional teammates and leaders.
• Establish test regimens and deliver data analysis to support design decisions.
• Mentor engineering and non‑engineering teammates.
• Apply first principles to create free body diagrams and develop models for new systems.
• Perform mechanical stress analysis on linear and non‑linear systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve technical challenges.
• Execute tolerance stack analyses.
• Design and analyze gear-driven systems and mechanisms.
• Maintain a system‑level view of design decisions affecting user needs and project delivery.
