Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, Wisconsin seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead mechanical design on mid/high complexity Hand Tool NPD projects and support existing products. You will contribute to user-focused discussions and provide engineering guidance to global teams.

The role requires 5+ years of design experience, strong CAD (Creo/SolidWorks/NX) and FEA skills, and knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with FEA.
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering on mid/high complexity Hand Tool NPD projects.
• Contribute to user-focused discussions to drive performance based on user feedback.
• Provide clear engineering information to Project Leaders and Global Engineering teams.
• Establish test regimens for components and assemblies within scope.
• Deliver data analysis to support design recommendations.
• Mentor others and serve as a technical resource.
• Perform calculations and software-aided analyses (mechanical stress, tolerance stack, mechanism development).
