Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer - Power to oversee the commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of power distribution and control systems in marine and industrial environments.

You will travel extensively to customer sites, including vessels, shipyards, offshore, and industrial facilities, to ensure safe and reliable operation and to support modernization efforts. Strong technical leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in commissioning, field service, troubleshooting, or maintenance of power systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and control systems.
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear, MCCs, and protection relays is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot power distribution and control systems.
• Diagnose complex electrical and system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support vessel construction, modernization, upgrades, and field-service projects.
• Perform commissioning and functional testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Provide technical support during port visits, offshore assignments, and customer-site activities.
• Lead or coordinate technical field activities as required.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams on project execution and modernization.
• Offer on-call and emergency technical support when necessary.
• Ensure safety, quality, and customer requirements are met across activities.
