Job summary

CORE Group is seeking a Lead Field Service Engineer – Power to oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and service of low- and medium-voltage power systems in marine and industrial environments.

You will travel extensively (up to 85%) to vessels, shipyards, offshore sites, and industrial facilities, leading field activities and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commissioning, field service, troubleshooting, or maintenance of power systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% and work at vessel sites, shipyards, offshore locations.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot power distribution and control systems.
• Diagnose complex electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support vessel construction, modernization, upgrades, and field-service projects.
• Perform commissioning and functional testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Provide technical support during port visits and offshore assignments.
• Coordinate technical field activities and prepare commissioning records.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams on project execution.
• Offer on-call and emergency technical support when needed.
• Ensure safety, quality, and customer requirements across activities.
