Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, OH is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Power Systems with 10+ years of industrial experience to lead medium- and low-voltage power distribution design for capital projects, ensuring safe, reliable electrical systems that support operations and long-term site performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power emphasis preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
• Strong background in medium- and low-voltage power distribution and equipment specification.
• Experience performing or overseeing power system studies (short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, etc.).
• Knowledge of hazardous area classification and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience with EPC partners, OEMs, construction teams, and plant operations.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design deliverables for capital projects (one-lines, specs, layouts, grounding).
• Ensure NEC, NFPA, IEEE/IEC compliance and standards.
• Improve system reliability and safety through design and hazard mitigation.
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate vendor proposals, lead design reviews with EPCs/OEMs.
• Support construction, commissioning, energization, and startup of electrical systems.
• Contribute to project cost/schedule planning and value engineering.
• Participate in PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, MOC and other process safety reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
