Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. seeks a Power Lead Engineer to oversee the full lifecycle of power system design, from concept to commissioning. You will develop technical specs and perform advanced power studies, collaborating with teams to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in power engineering, with leadership experience and proficiency in ETAP/SKM/PSS/E. NEC/IEEE/IEC knowledge and a PE license are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years in power systems engineering with leadership exposure.
• Experience with distribution, generation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of power system design, testing and commissioning.
• Develop specs, schematics, and layouts for power systems.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash and relay studies.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
• Provide guidance and coaching to engineers.
