Job summary
Longroad Energy, headquartered in Boston, MA, is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support wind, solar and storage projects across North America. You will perform interconnection studies, model coordination, and transmission analyses to ensure reliable grid integration.
The role is remote with hybrid options for Boston or San Francisco candidates. The successful candidate has a BSEE in power systems, 4+ years of related experience, and familiarity with PSS/E/PSLF/TARA, plus knowledge of NERC
Qualifications
- BSEE in power systems from an accredited university.
- 4 years of experience in electrical power systems engineering, transmission planning and/or transmission system operations.
- Experience performing static and dynamic transmission system studies to support substation and transmission line planning and/or operation.
- Experience with power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, and/or TARA.
Responsibilities
- Provide power systems technical support for wind, solar and battery storage projects.
- Determine injection and charging capacity for proposed projects in coordination with development.
- Conduct transmission system analyses to identify optimal interconnection points and hosting capacity.
