Job summary

Qualus, a leading power solutions firm, is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals at Senior and Lead levels for its Field Engineering department. You will commission and test protection and control schemes and systems for utility substations and plants, involving IEDs, SCADA interfaces, and IEC-61850 media.

You will oversee end-to-end testing and mentor field technicians and engineers. As part of our team, you will participate in a travel-intensive schedule, work across client sites in

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Experience reading One Line, AC/DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams.
• Ability to perform regular field work in various environments and weather.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents throughout the drawing set.
• Performs End-To-End testing.
• Performs IED testing with automated test sets.
• Identifies risks associated with testing and commissioning.
• Develops test plans and risk assessments.
• Analyzes scope and drawing interpretations to create guidelines.
• Leads people and tasks within projects with defined scopes.
• Performs weekly site safety inspections.
• Leads HP applications with Project Lead approval.
• Supports company policies and procedures.
