Job summary

This role requires 8+ years in system design and a Bachelor’s in Engineering, with advanced degrees preferred, and an ability to lead projects in renewable energy, microgrid, and energy storage applications.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in system design, architecture, testing, or integration for microgrid, power generation, and energy storage.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy systems including solar, wind, power conversion and storage.
• Experience with modeling for system design and collaboration across teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards for energy technologies.
• Experience with grid integration and energy management systems (preferred).
• Proven track record leading renewable energy projects and performance modeling using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape/Amesim.

Responsibilities

• Characterizes, benchmarks and defines requirements for proof‑of‑concept prototypes and testing.
• Defines size, performance, efficiency, cost and requirements for DER and microgrid components.
• Maintains documentation on specifications, analyses and simulation results.
• Collaborates with systems simulation and engineering teams to share requirements and targets.
• Leads evaluation and benchmarking of new technologies.
• Collaborates with controls software and power electronics teams on energy management targets.
• Works with cross‑functional teams on power electronics system design, thermal management and packaging.
