Job summary

Root Edge is looking for a skilled engineer to own the control architecture for islanded microgrids that power AI data centers. This role requires a strong background in power systems and the ability to work with utility-scale equipment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with solar power, battery storage, and power electronics integration, as well as the capability to engage with OEM vendors on technical aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related technical field.
• 7 to 10 years in utility scale solar, battery storage, or power electronics.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD and study tools such as SKM, ETAP, or AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Own the control hierarchy architecture and its validation.
• Drive technical engagement with OEM vendors on power conversion systems.
• Write commissioning and validation test plans and support field troubleshooting.
