root/edge is hiring a Senior Project Engineer to deliver islanded microgrids powering AI data centers in Texas. You will serve as the owner’s technical authority, coordinating with the Engineer of Record, EPC contractor, and equipment manufacturers to protect scope, schedule, and quality from design through commercial operation.

You will define technical pathways, manage design packages, and lead commissioning and energization to COD, ensuring safe, reliable operation on a compressed timeline

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
• 7+ years delivering utility-scale solar, battery storage, power generation, or large infrastructure projects.
• Direct ownership of construction and commissioning through COD on at least one project.
• Ability to interpret EPC contracts, equipment specs, study reports, and IFC drawings.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and NFPA standards for PV, battery storage, and MV/HV systems.
• Willingness to travel to remote Texas sites.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical path from early design through commissioning and commercial operation.
• Coordinate 30/60/90/IFC design packages across multiple stakeholders.
• Build scopes of work and responsibility matrices for limited notice to proceed and EPC work.
• Maintain design basis, specs, and lessons learned to improve future deployments.
• Support equipment selection and vendor proposals for storage, PV inverters, MV/HV gear, and balance of plant.
• Lead islanded commissioning, energization sequences, testing, and final acceptance.
• Review EPC contracts and ensure scope, schedule, and quality adherence.
• Coordinate procurement logistics for inverter skids, batteries, switchgear, and balance of plant.
