Job summary

Swisher, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Production Supervisor for Pouching Operations. You will lead daily pouching and related production areas, drive schedules, and ensure GMP and safety standards are met.

You will supervise operators, coach staff, and collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Engineering to maintain quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include line startup and shutdown, changeovers, material traceability, and CAPA support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a manufacturing discipline with leadership experience.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in regulated CPG environments.
• 3+ years supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in pouching, packaging, compounding, batching, or related ops.
• Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
• Strong GMP, sanitation, and OSHA knowledge with quality systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Familiarity with inventory control, batch records, and production docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pouching or related production operations to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Direct activities such as batching, weighing, blending, changeovers, and lot changes.
• Assign work and coordinate staffing for proper coverage and safety.
• Coach and develop employees; reinforce safe work practices and attendance.
• Ensure materials are received, staged, verified, and available for uninterrupted ops.
• Verify cleanliness, equipment readiness, and material readiness before startup.
• Monitor performance, waste, downtime; take corrective action and escalate risks.
• Coordinate maintenance with Maintenance/Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Ensure accurate batch records, inventory transactions, and traceability.
• Support audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
