Job summary

Genpak is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a 24/7 manufacturing shift in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise a team of up to 30 associates across Packaging, Operating and Material Handling, ensuring safety, cost control, timeliness and product quality.

You will train staff, plan daily operations, monitor performance data, drive continuous improvement, and ensure GMP/SQF compliance while fostering a collaborative, open-door culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Knowledge of the Plastics Industry processes and equipment, specifically extrusion and thermoforming strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of raw material and production supplies utilized in the production of finished goods.
• Knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with database applications.
• Basic understanding of plastic physical properties and behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Train for safety, process, quality, HR and company policies.
• Pre-plan and manage daily shift operations including work assignments and material movement.
• Ensure production meets specifications, customer expectations and safety standards.
• Identify production problems and take corrective action with cross‑dept coordination.
• Track timecards, attendance, time-off requests and shift coverage.
• Review, track and report production data including downtime, scrap and staffing.
• Maintain GMP, SPC, SQF compliance and audit readiness.
• Foster an open-door culture and develop employees for future opportunities.
• Participate in performance management with HR and plant management.
• Lead shift hand-offs and provide coverage for absences or vacations.
