Job summary

Swisher in Jacksonville, Florida, seeks a Laboratory Quality Control Manager to lead the centralized QC laboratory for finished-product release testing in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You'll drive startup and ongoing operations, transfer analytical methods from external labs, qualify equipment (HPLC/UHPLC), and build lab quality systems, SOPs, and staffing for multi-shift testing while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Science, or a related scientific field.
• 8–10 years of experience in analytical or quality control laboratory in a regulated environment.
• 2+ years leading laboratory personnel and day-to-day operations.
• Experience managing equipment qualification and calibration, SOPs and controlled methods, data integrity, investigations, training, and laboratory readiness.
• Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Limited travel may be required for method transfer, vendor coordination, training, or site support.

Responsibilities

• Lead transfer of analytical testing methods to the Swisher QC laboratory, including transfer protocols and documentation.
• Lead startup and operational readiness of the centralized quality control laboratory through go-live.
• Coordinate method qualification, validation or verification, and parallel testing with third-party laboratories.
• Establish laboratory quality systems, SOPs, forms, data-review practices, and documentation controls.
• Manage laboratory personnel, staffing, training, and multi-shift testing operation.
• Maintain compliant laboratory environment and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
