Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic PLC Controls Engineer in McElhattan, PA to design, install, and maintain PLC-based control systems for our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with design and maintenance teams to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency on the production floor.

With 5+ years in manufacturing and a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, you will program RSLogix, create schematics using AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and help drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in PLC programming, especially RSLogix/Allen Bradley.
• Extensive experience with electrical controls and machine wiring.
• CAD proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and project management skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC control systems and interfaces for production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-based control systems and components.
• Develop and maintain electrical control systems for safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design teams on automation and control system design.
• Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create and maintain schematics.
• Program PLCs using RSLogix and related software.
• Provide technical support to internal departments and liaise with suppliers.
• Manage projects using engineering principles and tools.
• Plan and design new production processes and modifications.
• Monitor and control maintenance costs.
• Perform wide-ranging electrical troubleshooting.
