Job summary

Trueline Talent is partnering with a major manufacturer in Erie, PA to seek a Controls Engineer for on-site responsibilities across PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive automation improvements and ensure equipment reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting and ownership of plant automation projects, with opportunities to implement new technologies and optimize production processes in a large-scale operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3–5+ years of controls engineering in manufacturing.
Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC platforms.
Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Design, program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
Support automation across complex manufacturing equipment and processes.
Integrate sensors, actuators, and controls into automated systems.
Test, validate, and commission control systems.
