Job summary

First Quality is seeking a highly capable Controls Engineer for its Lewistown, PA facility. The role focuses on specifying, designing, and implementing complex control systems and software for production equipment.

You will lead technicians and collaborate with engineers, OEMs, and vendors to optimize performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical engineering (or related), 1+ year of industrial controls experience, and strong PLC/HMI

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1 year industrial controls experience.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming and HMI programming.
Experience with AutoCAD for schematic drawings.
Ability to lead small capital projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Specify, design, and implement complex controls systems on production equipment.
Lead/assist Controls Technicians and engineers to install and start up new equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and process problems with internal and external resources.
Coordinate data collection, reporting, and analysis of equipment performance.
Provide training to production, maintenance, and other personnel.
