Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience with platform reliability/production operations leadership.
• Experience with Java, Python, Node.js or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E, load).
• Strong observability knowledge: structured logging, metrics, tracing, alerts.
• Reliability pattern design for distributed systems (fault tolerance, retries).
• Experience leading a small engineering pod and coordinating contractors.
• Cloud-native apps on Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Clear communication of risks and tradeoffs to technical leaders.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery planning for platform scale and reliability.
• Ensure uptime, performance, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and quality gates.
• Contribute production code and develop reliability tooling.
• Own logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring strategies.
• Define patterns for exception handling, fault tolerance, and recovery.
• Lead scalability initiatives for higher membership and activity.
• Define release readiness criteria and operational gates.
• Mentor engineers and manage contractor resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across decisioning, orchestration, activation.
