Job summary

Leidos in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Platform Engineering Team Lead to guide a team delivering enterprise data and analytics platforms for the USAF. You will establish roadmaps, define standards, and drive automation, reliability, and developer productivity across cloud-native platforms using AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and IaC.

You will collaborate with security, operations, and architecture teams, ensure compliance with RMF and other regulations, and mentor engineers to build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in DevOps, Platform/Cloud/Systems Engineering or related roles.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or initiatives.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, automation, observability and security integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers.
• Establish platform roadmaps, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate initiatives across development, operations, security, and architecture.
• Drive automation, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure/Kubernetes).
• Develop reusable platform services and self-service capabilities.
• Manage IaC solutions with Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• Ensure platform scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Lead CI/CD governance and automated deployment processes.
• Enforce automated security checks, testing, and compliance validation.
• Implement GitOps and deployment automation strategies.
• Integrate security controls into delivery pipelines and observability solutions.
• Establish automated recovery, rollback, and incident response.
• Monitor platform health, availability, and performance; support production ops.
