Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks an experienced software platforms leader to drive design, development, and optimization of core cloud-based platforms across the enterprise. You will shape architecture, establish standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Leading engineers, you will mentor teams, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term improvements in performance and reliability while aligning with business needs and governance policies.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of hands‑on GCP experience in Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
