Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design and deliver scalable backend and platform services for AI agent workflows. You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and progressive delivery, while mentoring engineers and improving reliability across Kubernetes-based deployments.

You will collaborate with Product, Applied AI, and Infrastructure teams to align priorities and deliver high-quality, observable, and cost-efficient systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering in backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or similar backend language and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and caching/messaging tech.
• Experience with cloud-native apps and Kubernetes (EKS).
• CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, progressive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and delivery of backend/platform services.
• Own and evolve cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems using IaC.
• Drive cross-functional technical initiatives with Product and AI teams.
• Improve observability, performance, and cost efficiency of production systems.
