The Town of East Hartford is seeking a Deputy Director of Community Development to lead land use planning, zoning, and development programs. You will supervise staff, coordinate with boards and the public, and guide major planning initiatives.

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field; four years of relevant experience.
• Experience in local government and supervision, budgeting, and research.
• AICP planner certification desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and coordinates current and long-range planning activities, zoning administration and studies.
• Oversee land use review, coordinate with developers, attorneys, engineers and public.
• Lead planning studies and implementation of planning initiatives and special projects.
• Supervise planning, zoning, and administrative staff and manage consultants.
• Support Development Director with operations and grant-funded initiatives.
