Job summary

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking an intermediate Utility Leadman in Louisiana. The role supports the Foreman, directs crew activities, and ensures safe, efficient pipelaying projects from trenching to pipe installation.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, coordinating TAR meetings, and upholding company safety policies while driving productivity and quality on site. Experience in heavy civil piping preferred; B2W knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of pipelaying experience in a heavy civil construction environment.
• Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
• Organizational & time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information.
• Written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Digging and grading trenches to place pipe in.
• Set up pipe laser.
• Lay water, sewer, and drainage pipe to line and grade.
• Cut, fit and seal various types of pipe.
• Interprets production targets and schedules.
• Lead TAR meetings with the crew before the shift.
• Lead crew to complete tasks without delay in the absence of the Foreman.
• Achieve or exceed productivity and profitability goals.
• Report to career development and leadman training.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping on the jobsite.
