Job summary

Cajun Industries, LLC seeks a Pipefitter Foreman to supervise and coordinate Pipefitter workers across plant operations or construction sites in Baton Rouge, ensuring work is safe, correct and timely. The role requires knowledge of piping systems, cutting, rigging, and tool operation, with emphasis on safety and efficient execution.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety regulations, interpreting plans, laying out penetrations, fabricating pipe, and coordinating with crew and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pipefitter crews on plant or construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO field installations, and material takeoffs.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met.
• Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems.
• Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, ISO's field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and understand specifications.
• Study specifications, plans and drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installation.
• Lay out for pipe penetrations and equipment location.
• Fabricate and install various pipe types and fittings.
• Miter and fabricate pipe; bevel pipes/tubes for welding.
• Install piping in pipe racks, valves, hangers and supports.
• Install underground pipe and steam/heat tracing as needed.
