Job summary

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Heavy Civil Foreman for LaPlace, LA. The role leads daily field operations on heavy civil projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery in base work, concrete installations, and utility projects.

You will supervise crews, coordinate equipment and materials, review plans, enforce safety, and mentor team members while coordinating with project management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years in heavy civil construction.
• 1–2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and grades.
• OSHA regulations and safe work practices knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Coordinate crews, equipment, and materials to meet production goals.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to project sites.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and oversight for asphalt paving projects, personnel, equipment, and overall effectiveness.
• Monitor labor, haul, equipment production, and cost for each project.
• Plan, assign, coordinate, and evaluate crews.
• Enforce safety regulations and lead TAR meetings.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment; maintain records.
• Lead production tracking and ensure equipment usage is documented.
• Train and mentor new employees.
