Job summary

Oscar Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Physician for its Virtual Health Assessment team. This remote role oversees a physician-led, multidisciplinary group delivering telemedicine care to Oscar members, reporting to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

The role focuses on clinical leadership, APP supervision, and continuous care improvements within a remote-enabled program, with travel for meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida medical license in good standing.
• Must have licensure in at least three other states.
• MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school.
• ABMS Board Certification or equivalent.
• 5+ years of primary care or urgent care experience.
• Unrestricted license to practice in GA, TX, FL or IMLCC.
• Experience supervising NP/PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemedicine care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering virtual care.
• Serve as clinical escalation point for care delivery team.
• Contribute to development of clinical guidelines and care model improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance and state supervisory audits.
• Promote patient safety culture and high-quality care.
• Ensure superior member experience and address service needs.
• Oversee growth and development of team and performance issues.
• Adhere to laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
