Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking qualified therapists for the Outpatient Rehabilitation department at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. The role requires a degree in PT/OT or a master's in Speech-Language Pathology, an active state license, and BLS certification.

This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week with weekday schedule and rotating weekend coverage. The successful candidate will participate in patient scheduling, clinical teaching, and program development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Applicable state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of administrative functions and may cover in the department leader’s absence.
• Coordinate staffing and participate in clinical teaching (including coordination of student supervision).
• Serve as a contact for patients/families, physicians, clinical staff to coordinate schedules and treatment plans.
• Gather and interpret data from medical records and patient/family; support reviews for accreditation.
• Assist leadership in planning and implementing new treatment programs and budgets.
• Provide evaluations and document progress, ensuring age-specific needs are met.
