Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Chicago seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based orthopedic care and guide patients through recovery. You will evaluate, design personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore function and activity.

You will work closely with physicians, PTAs, and other clinicians, mentoring staff and contributing to program growth, including new therapies and advanced manual techniques.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Physical Therapist license.
• Graduate of an accredited PT program (DPT preferred).
• Experience with post-surgical patients and/or athletes (preferred).
• Familiarity with Epic Hyperspace EMR.
• Strong manual therapy skills including Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations with goniometry, manual muscle testing, and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and physician recommendations.
• Utilize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to improve outcomes.
• Educate patients on conditions, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members for coordinated care.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs (1:1) to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay current with advancements in PT through continuing education.
• Support department growth, including upcoming services like Blood Flow Restriction therapy.
