Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Thread Support Staff Systems Engineer (TSSPE) to join the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. This full-time role focuses on the Physical Security thread, overseeing requirements, architecture, and verification for launch-control security infrastructure across ground and airborne systems.

The candidate will act as SME, lead technical reviews, and mentor staff, with a strong emphasis on MBSE tools, cross-team collaboration, and program leadership briefings.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance (current within 6 years).
• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• 4 years of ICBM program or complex aerospace/defense systems experience.
• 3 years of leading teams in a collaborative environment.
• 2 years of creating/updating system-performance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and technical lead for Physical Security thread on Sentinel program.
• Lead special projects for assigned threads and manage related documentation.
• Act as primary delegate of authority for the thread and oversee SE products.
• Collaborate with SEIT leadership and OCE to baseline technical work.
• Brief program leadership and stakeholders at reviews.
• Facilitate coordination sessions for thread integration.
• Mentor junior staff and transfer knowledge.
• Define and allocate requirements to component levels.
• Produce architecture, interface definitions, functional flows.
