Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer (T01) or Systems Engineer (T02) to support the Sentinel program. The role involves applying STPA-Sec analyses, leveraging MBSE, and integrating electrical engineering with traditional systems engineering practices.
The position requires US citizenship and a Secret clearance, with relocation assistance potentially available.
Qualifications
- Must be US citizen with active Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval.
- Basic understanding SSE principles and SE principles for US Government Defense Programs.
- Basic understanding Electrical and Systems Engineering principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches.
- Ability to apply safety thinking to complex systems.
- Ability to analyze raw data to present findings and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Execute traditional Systems Engineering with STPA MBSE approaches to uncover safety, security, and availability features.
- Decompose systems to identify causal scenarios and unsafe control actions.
- Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and risks using electrical CAD and schematics reviews.
- Lead completion of Statement of Work requirements, Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments.
- Support MDT with other duties as assigned.
