Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist Group Lead in Montgomery, AL, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotational weekends. Lead patient service activities across PSC/IOP sites, coach staff, and ensure accurate specimen collection and data entry.

The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, leadership ability, and exceptional customer service in a high-volume setting. Travel to multiple sites may be necessary; onboarding and coordination are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Seven years phlebotomy experience preferred, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible hours including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Travel to multiple locations and cover PSC/IOP sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders and patient demographics using lab systems.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training on current techniques.
• Lead and mentor on-site PSRs and coordinate daily activities.
