Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist Group Lead in Oakland, CA, with Monday–Friday shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM and rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required.

Pay ranges from $31.90 to $38.00 per hour, with bonus potential based on performance and organizational factors. The role emphasizes leadership in a high‑volume PSC/IOP environment, mentoring staff, and ensuring accurate patient data and timely specimen processing.

Qualifications

• Seven years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
• Travel and valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Lead and mentor staff; coach, instructor and resource to on-site teams.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.
