Job summary

Lumicera Health Services, a Navitus-powered specialty pharmacy provider, seeks a Pharmacist in Charge to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. The PIC guides daily clinical decisions, fulfillment operations, and regulatory compliance across federal/state laws and accrediting standards.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of residence, or ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months.
• 5+ years as a licensed Pharmacist required.
• 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role with direct reports required.
• Experience with Specialty Pharmacy drugs including REMS and Limited Distribution Products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily specialty mail pharmacy fulfillment operations, including dispensing, RPh verification, shipping, cold-chain handling, and delivery issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state pharmacy laws and accreditation standards (URAC/ACHC), HIPAA, and internal SOPs.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, coaching, engagement and performance management for pharmacists, technicians and support staff.
• Drive quality and safety programs: medication error prevention, incident reporting, CAPA, and continuous process improvement.
• Monitor and optimize inventory for specialty drugs, REMS programs, and hazardous drugs handling.
