Job summary

Canonical is seeking a senior data/engineering leader to drive the Workplace Engineering data practice. You will bridge HR analytics and product engineering, shaping experiments, automations, and AI-driven tools that deliver measurable outcomes.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary squad across data science, software engineering, and UX, translating business questions into research objectives and building a trusted data platform for the company.

Qualifications

• Background in data science, mathematics, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a squad of People Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and UX Designers.
• Own product decisions translating HR concepts into Dev terms.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive insights from data.
• Ensure GDPR/privacy compliance and data stewardship.
• Communicate insights and build the People Data Stack as a single source of truth.
