Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to drive complex payroll tax initiatives. In this technical leadership role, you will own escalations, approve SOPs, and coach team members to build capability while ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

You will serve as the primary resource for TP1/TP2/TP3 staff, guiding resolution paths and optimizing processes to reduce aging and backlog as part of a high-performing PTO team.

Competenze

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations across US jurisdictions and local tax systems.
• Advanced writing skills to create and approve SOPs and technical documents for a tax audience.
• Proven ownership of SLAs with proactive issue resolution and red-flag detection.
• Strong, validation-first mindset with proposed solutions to leadership.
• 5+ years handling highly sensitive customer and internal escalations with minimal guidance.
• Experience in contact center, customer service, or back-office operations handling high-volume needs.
• Comfort with using and testing AI tools to improve team workflows.

Mansioni

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1/TP2/TP3 staff and teach resolution paths.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct formal coaching sessions quarterly to close skill gaps using SBIC feedback.
• Lead or support team huddles, QA sessions, and daily stand-up facilitation when needed.
• Oversee WIP, backlog reduction, and aging reports; suggest staffing adjustments to management.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices including IRS concerns and cross-jurisdictional penalties.
• Approve complex amended Federal and State returns with audit trails and ledger reconciliation.
• Identify trends and risks; communicate findings with data-driven recommendations.
