Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in McLean, VA is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead our complex, multi-state payroll operations. You will oversee two direct reports (Payroll Supervisors) and manage bi-weekly salaried and weekly craft worker cycles, ensuring accurate, timely compensation and strict compliance.

The role requires 7+ years payroll experience and a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Business; CPP is a plus. Base salary ranges from 65,000 to 170,000 with broad benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and union CBAs (Davis-Bacon preferred).
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, W-2 processing, and audits.
• Experience with Workday, SAP, or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end multi-state payroll for 5,000+ employees.
• Lead two Payroll Managers and two Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state labor laws and CBAs.
• Partner with HR, IT, Legal to integrate timekeeping with payroll.
