Job summary

Valley Corporation in Nebraska seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee paving projects, ensuring work aligns with designs, budget, and schedule. You will serve as the on-site representative, upholding quality and safety while fostering a collaborative work environment.

The role requires coordinating crews, working with Project Managers and other Superintendents, and managing equipment, materials, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; construction degree preferred.
• 5+ years heavy civil construction with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate startup and mobilization of crews per project schedule.
• Manage crews, ensuring safety compliance and high-quality work.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other Superintendents to plan resources.
• Oversee equipment management, material deliveries, and inventory control.
• Maintain project documentation, including logs, timesheets, and POs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope compliance.
• Monitor progress, address on-site issues, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Valley Corp. standards and regulations.
• Support training and development of foremen, operators, and other crew members.
• Assist with closeout tasks including punch lists and final documentation.
