Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of asphalt paving experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or superintendent role.
• Strong understanding of DOT, city, and county paving specifications.
• Knowledge of paving equipment, materials, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus and OSHA certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all paving crew activities on-site.
• Schedule and manage labor, materials, and equipment for paving operations.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Communicate daily with project managers, foremen, and inspectors.
• Monitor project timelines, quality control, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot field issues and adjust plans as needed to meet project goals.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation of progress.
• Participate in pre-paving meetings and help plan efficient workflow.
